Whether you are interested in First Aid, CPR training or even more advanced certifications such as ACLS, BLS or PALS, Triumph Training & Services offers classroom-based courses with skills sessions.
Our training features group interaction and coaching from one of our American Heart Association Instructors, in a classroom setting. Online courses are self-directed, allowing participants to work at their own pace, followed by a skills session. A skills session is a hands-on practice session and evaluation, a requirement of the American Heart Association’s e-Learning program.
FIRST AID & CPR-AED CLASS: 3-6 hours
Schedule: Every Saturday
The First Aid/CPR-AED courses incorporate the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is performed on people who have stopped breathing and do not have a pulse. It is vital in life-threatening situations like a drowning accident or cardiac arrest. The aim of CPR is to compress the chest and heart so that blood can be pumped to the brain, albeit weakly. Fast action is required. If CPR is not started within two minutes of the heart stopping, brain damage can develop rapidly.
People who resist CPR training often do so because they think they don’t have the time; others are simply put off by the thought of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. The fact is that most CPR classes take only between one to three hours to complete and that the mouth-to-mouth is no longer considered a standard part of CPR.
As part of the First Aid Certification, you’ll first learn what your role as a provider is. This course teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrive. Students learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings.
These courses are for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in First aid/CPR-AED to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Class: 4 Hours
Schedule: Every Saturday
The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
What does this course teach?
- High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
- The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components.
- Important early use of an AED.
- Effective ventilations using a barrier device.
- Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR.
- Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Class: 4-8 Hours
Schedule: Every other Friday of the month
The AHA’s ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
What does this course teach?
- Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED.
- Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest.
- Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia.
- Airway management.
- Related pharmacology.
- Management of ACS and stroke.
- Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team.
This course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).

Blood Borne Pathogens (ACLS) Class: 2 Hours
Schedule: Every Saturday
The Bloodborne Pathogens training is designed for those who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. This training is for one looking to obtain an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Bloodborne Pathogen training certification to satisfy the training requirement under the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen standard and to provide to an employer/organization as proof of training for compliance purposes. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen compliance for an organization revolves around protecting your workforce from the health hazards around exposure to blood and Other Potentially Infectious Materials (OPIM). The OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen standards require that employers provide an annual awareness training to employees that have regular exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM), have an exposure control plan to prevent and handle exposure incidents, and establish work practice and engineering controls to minimize potential exposure.
What are bloodborne pathogens?
Bloodborne pathogens are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease in humans. These pathogens include, but are not limited to, hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Needlesticks and other sharps-related injuries may expose workers to bloodborne pathogens. Workers in many occupations, including first responders, housekeeping personnel in some industries, nurses and other healthcare personnel, all may be at risk for exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT (PALS) CLASS
Schedule: Every other Wednesday of the month
The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) class is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.
What does this course teach?
The PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills. The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass the multiple-choice exam with a minimum score of 84%.
For more information on the PALS class, please visit the American Heart Association’s website dedicated to it.
